By accessing or using Laksa, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Description of Service
Laksa is a content management and newsletter platform that enables users to:
- Create and manage websites and blogs
- Publish and distribute newsletters
- Manage subscriber lists
- Track content engagement
- Host content on custom domains
Account Registration
CMS Users (Content Creators)
To create content on Laksa, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
Newsletter Subscribers (Public Users)
To subscribe to newsletters:
- Provide a valid email address
- Verify your email address via confirmation link
- Opt-in to receive newsletters from specific sites
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link in emails
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Laksa to:
Prohibited Content
- Publish illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content
- Distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Violate intellectual property rights of others
- Distribute spam or unsolicited commercial messages
- Publish pornographic, obscene, or offensive material
- Promote violence, harassment, or discrimination
- Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliations
Prohibited Activities
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt our services
- Scrape or harvest data without permission
- Circumvent security or authentication measures
- Use automated systems to access the service excessively
- Resell or redistribute our services without authorization
Content Ownership and Licensing
Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create on Laksa. By publishing content, you grant Laksa a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Host and display your content
- Distribute your content to subscribers
- Cache and optimize content for performance
- Back up your content for disaster recovery
This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.
Subscriber Data
As a content creator, you are responsible for:
- Complying with privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Honoring unsubscribe requests
- Using subscriber data only for legitimate newsletter purposes
- Not selling or sharing subscriber lists
Laksa’s Content
Laksa’s interface, design, logo, and documentation are owned by Geodica Ltd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute Laksa’s proprietary content without permission.
Newsletter Distribution
Content Creator Responsibilities
When sending newsletters, you must:
- Only send to users who have opted in to receive your content
- Include a clear unsubscribe mechanism in every email
- Honor unsubscribe requests immediately
- Not use newsletters for spam or commercial solicitation
- Comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other email regulations
Email Deliverability
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend accounts that generate high bounce or complaint rates
- Implement rate limits on email sending
- Review content that triggers spam filters
- Terminate accounts engaged in abusive email practices
Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of Laksa is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in that policy.
Payment and Fees
Free Tier
Laksa currently offers free access to basic features. We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers in the future.
Future Paid Services
If we introduce paid services:
- We will provide clear pricing and terms
- You will have the option to upgrade or continue with free tier
- Existing users will receive advance notice of changes
- Refund policies will be clearly stated
Service Availability
No Warranty
Laksa is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Specific uptime or availability
- Security against all possible threats
- Compatibility with all devices or browsers
Service Changes
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue features
- Perform scheduled or emergency maintenance
- Update software and infrastructure
- Change these terms with reasonable notice
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Geodica Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the fees paid to us in the last 12 months (currently zero)
- We are not responsible for user content or third-party services
- We are not liable for data loss (though we make reasonable backup efforts)
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Geodica Ltd from claims arising from:
- Your use of Laksa
- Your content and its publication
- Your violation of these terms
- Your violation of third-party rights
Termination
By You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Deleting your account through the interface
- Contacting us to request account closure
- Ceasing to use our services
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms of Use
- You engage in abusive behavior
- Required by law or legal process
- Your account is inactive for an extended period
- We discontinue the service (with reasonable notice)
Upon termination:
- Your access to Laksa will cease
- Your content may be deleted after a reasonable grace period
- Subscriber data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy
- Backup copies may be retained for legal or operational purposes
Intellectual Property Disputes
If you believe content on Laksa violates your intellectual property rights:

- Statement that information is accurate

Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
Dispute Resolution
Before filing legal action, you agree to:
- Contact us to attempt informal resolution
- Provide 30 days for us to address your concern
- Engage in good faith negotiations
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you by:
- Updating the “Last Updated” date and version number
- Posting a notice on our website
- Sending an email to registered users (for material changes)
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Geodica Ltd regarding Laksa.
